Core Foundations

  • 101 Foundations of Buddhism and Buddhist Meditation:  Instruction and experiences with various types of meditation to develop focused, friendly awareness and compassion towards self and others.  Key topics explored include the nature of thoughts & emotions, reacting versus responding & cultivating habits that serve us and others, impermanence and uncertainty, awareness and concentration, and cause & effect.
  • 201 Buddhism and Buddhist Meditation: Instruction and experiences with various types of meditation to develop focused, friendly awareness and compassion towards self and others.  Deeper exploration of topics including impermanence and uncertainty, cause and effect, emptiness, compassion, and morality.  Pre-requisite: Completion of 101 Foundations of Buddhism and Buddhist Meditation course or equivalent prior exposure and experience.
